A scratch draft on a smooth jazz song I'm working on. I plan to add a guitar part, with a solo in the middle spot. The sax part will be redone and turned up in the mix, but this is the idea of the melody.

This was the first time Jennie had played keyboard. I showed her the notes, we spontaneously created the main riff, then recorded it in one take. (Drums added afterwards.) The piece is obviously not flawlessly performed, but does demonstrate the awesomeness of simplicity and open-minded co-writing.
